A common misunderstanding about the Book of Revelation is the failure to recognize that tribulation is from two different sources! There has always been tribulation in the world due to the influence of Satan, sin, and evils of men that resulted from disobedience to God; all on the part of Satan and his angels, and Adam in the garden. This is revealed by descriptions of the so called “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypses” in Revelation Chapter 6 that has caused tribulation in human societies throughout history; beginning at the time God put Adam out of the garden. The last human instigators of these tribulations shall be during the time of the “end time man of sin” when he come into his power on the world stage. And after he is broken the reign of men over kingdom on earth shall end. Then the kingdom of God shall be the only reigning authority in all heavens, and on earth! These tribulations treaded out by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypses are allowed of God with limitation, else all flesh would be destroyed; but God does not cause them. The second source of tribulation is from God as seen by such occurrences as Noah’s flood, the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah, and as prophesied by the Apostle John in the Book of Revelation. One might be persuaded that these tribulations are the means God uses to limit, and end the tribulation we see described in the previous paragraph. The various judgment and plagues in the Book of Revelation are the last tribulations from God; and after these are done the final judgment shall be executed of God to end sin, iniquity, evil, and death cause by disobedience to Him and His authority; which bring peace, safety, and tranquility because of His great love and mercy. Amen! This Bible Study Book, “A Study of John’s Revelation” provides commentary that helps the reader understand the progression of tribulation events from God prophesied in this: “The Book of Revelation”.
