Seine polemischen Beiträge zu den Streitigkeiten und Uneinigkeiten im reformatorischen Lager lassen sich jedoch in vielen Flugblättern der Zeit dokumentieren und zeugen von seiner Bedeutung in der Gegenreformation. Bei der zielstrebigeren Recherche sollte erst seine Person in Verknüpfung zum allgemeinen Verständnis von Flugblättern betrachtet werden.
