Overview

This book explores a number of prominent Dutch Reformed theologians after the Synod of Dort. The authors begins by looking at the life and teachings of Gijsbert Voetius and William Ames. Then he looks at the covenant theology of Herman Witsius and Johannes Cocceius. Chapter 6 explores the spirituality of the Dutcher Further Reformation. Two chapters are devoted to Abraham Kuyper and then the reader is introduced to two prominent opponents of Kuyper, Foppe M. ten Hoor and Herman Hoeksema. Closing chapters look at how various Reformed theologians have wrestled with matters of Christ and culture.
