Jesus Is Coming Soon?

Paperback |English |1506902537 | 9781506902531
Overview

Jesus said he was coming soon. All his disciples and the writers of the New Testament heard what he said and believed he would return during their lifetime. Over two thousand years later, most Christian people believe he has still not come, yet continue to claim he is coming soon. Is it possible we have totally missed something from the Scriptures about this second coming of Christ? It may surprise you to learn Jesus explained in very clear, understandable terms not only when he was coming back but, more importantly, why.

Over the past years there have been hundreds of "prophesies" about when Jesus was coming and when the world would end. All of them have proven to be false, doing little more than casting doubt on the credibility of the Bible and the faithfulness of God. Perhaps it is time we took a fresh look at what the Bible actually says about the end times.

There are a lot of differing opinions about the "second coming," the "end of the world," the "last days," and a host of other topics associated with the promised coming of Jesus. This book examines what the Scriptures actually say about these topics and how they all fit perfectly into God's plan to redeem mankind from the consequences of sin.

Jesus Is Coming Soon? presents a clear, easy to understand explanation about these "end time" events. And it is an exciting and positive message. God's plan for the world was, is, and always be its salvation...not its destruction! You will be glad you read this book.

Author_Bio: Jim Reeves was the youngest of six children. Growing up on a dairy farm in rural Northwest Arkansas shaped his approach to life. His mother was a deeply religious, gentle lady who had an insatiable desire to know and understand the Bible. Her influence made a deep impression on her children and Jim has spent a lifetime following a similar quest.

He graduated from York College with honors and then attended David Lipscomb University in Tennessee where he continued his studies in Bible and music. He also holds a BA in Organizational Management from Concordia University. Jim had a successful career in the oil and gas industry, and has always been actively involved in a local church, having preached, led worship, and taught Bible classes for churches in Arkansas, Indiana, Colorado, and Texas. He and his wife, Donna, were married in 1967 and they have two grown children. They are now retired, living in central Texas.

Jim's professional career took him to several countries and many different cultures around the world, giving him a unique perspective on how the word of God transcends national borders and offers hope and real solutions to all people, regardless of their immediate circumstances. He can be contacted via email at jdr.reeves@gmail.com and is always willing to answer questions or study the Scriptures with anyone who is interested.
