On Bits and Pieces
While it may not be intended for an ideal way of preaching the word of God, these compiled homilies will be an attempt to serve only as a form of sharing. Some stories within familiar historical and biblical contexts make us cognizant of the lessons of the past and other issues which explore specific events, along with the growing literature on human relationships. It is of interest, however, to appreciate the value and importance of shaping the perspective on discipleship and interaction of old-world heritage and cultural conditions in the contemporary life. As this book stands, with its biblical reflections, along with its considerable mosaic of allusions on various significant aspects, it brings us to strengthen our faith and pray that we may be filled with an understanding heart, open to welcome others with the kind of heart that Solomon in the Bible prayed for when God gave him a choice about anything else he asked for. St John of the Cross, a Spanish poet, mystic and saint who wrote these words, "What we need most in order to make progress is to be silent before this great God with our appetites and our tongue, for the language he best hears is silent love."
