Overview
MANAGEMENT GEMS FOR ALL TIME: Recipe for Business & Everyday Success This book contains a thematic assembly of management ideas from diverse and interesting sources. Its captivating case-study style gives character and life to the messages, while making application effortless. Most of the stories have been gathered from the author's wide range of consulting assignments in both the public and private sectors, but recast to conceal identities. There is no doubt that many practicing and prospective managers as well as entrepreneurs and the general public will find the ideas herein not only inspirational but also transformational. Anyone who seeks to manage for results is bound to find it witty, refreshing and useful both at the work place and elsewhere. About the Author Anderea Morara has held many senior management positions, including being CEO of two management institutions. He first came to the limelight in matters of management as the Business Tidbits columnist in the Daily Nation, East Africa's largest circulation newspaper, where he worked as Business Editor, in the late 1980's. He has been a management columnist in the East African Chronicle and the East African Standard newspapers. In his studies and work, he has encountered a wide range of business environments, situations and experiences spanning Africa, Europe, North America, India and Japan, which have greatly enriched his understanding of management styles across cultures. He has authored several books and papers on management, enterprise development and children's literature as well as the novel The Sting, which has been well received. What others say "I found the articles to be practical, deep in thought, and relevant to a Managers' everyday life. The unique part was the flawless style of writing and use of relevant examples; which is the important component of communication in ensuring that the message is clear and reaches the target audience without distortion." " - Peter Okong'o, Deputy Managing Editor, The Standard " A part from being exciting, the articles offer possibilities for networking with experts as they help in benchmarking while providing opportunities for learning in emerging markets and putting into practice some of the ideas.
