Never before in human history have we been so plugged in. All of these technological advancements aren't necessarily bad, but we've never been given the tools to appropriately engage with this new era of tech and connectivity.
This book is the toolbox this generation needs to appropriately use all this technology without losing touch with our humanity and God.

Whether you are looking for a relevant guide for yourself or your small group this cutting-edge book addresses the real issues of real people today. All of us feel what Dr. Rogers and Rev. Newton feel. The difference is that these two, real-life sisters offer us a guide that is both practical and readable while at the same time grounded in cutting-edge research. I highly recommend this book to all of us who are find ourselves torn between the demands of today and the longing for eternity.

As a middle school teacher for over 20 years, I have seen the influx of digital media and the effects of it, from cyber bullying to fatigue due to not sleeping because of late night screen time, to isolation in students, and recently parents interrupting meetings with their text or other digital reminders going off.
The title of the book caught my attention, since I believe that technology is great but it is addictive and can be harmful. From the first chapter that drew me in to the advice of practical suggestions to identify and help people refocus, based on research, I found the book practical and easy to digest. I am sure this book is going to help this generation and beyond. Technology is not going to stop, so we need a helpful book on setting boundaries with technology. I believe this book was written for just a time as this.

This well written practical life-guide by identical twin sisters, Dr. Beverly Rodgers and Pastor Linda Newton, is readable as they share life experiences, while at the same time, it is steeped in the latest research.
It is clear that is easy for us to be over stimulated technologically in this fast paced world, or broken by hurts, habits, and hang ups. Calling out to the unfailing, unchanging, everlasting Love of God and working the program is a clear pathway to healing and peace.
I highly recommend this book to the seeking reader or small group Bible study.
